Slow Cooked Chicken & Veg

*serves 4

INGREDIENTS:

  • 400g boneless/skinless chicken breast

  • 300g baby red potatoes, halved

  • 200g carrots, cut into sticks

  • 100g green beans, trimmed

  • 1/4 cup liquid aminos

  • 15mL organic honey

  • garlic, minced

  • fresh parsley leaves

  • dried basil

  • dried oregano

  • crushed red pepper flakes

  • ground black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. In a large bowl, combine liquid aminos, honey, garlic, herbs and spices

  2. Place chicken breast, potatoes, carrots and sauce mixture into a slow cooker. In this step, I added a half cup of water to my mixture so to ensure the base of my crock pot was completely covered.

  3. Cover and cook on low heat for 7-8 hours or high for 3-4 hours

  4. In the last 30-40 minutes of cooking time, add green beans

  5. Serve immediately whilst hot!
