4 Things I did to Get Results.

The last time I really focused on my fitness goals was when I was 3 months postpartum. I wasn’t feeling good about myself:

🥱I was tired from sleepless nights
👶🏻rundown from attending to a newborn
👩‍👦feeling a little lost in trying to navigate becoming a new mom
😴adjusting to an irregular schedule
🍉in a foreign body with massive breastfeeding melons
🥴unmotivated

Until one morning I decided I didn’t have to feel this way. Now don’t get it twisted, this is not a “I felt like I needed to bounce back post baby” post. I just knew it was time to focus on things that I could control & give myself time & space to pursue the things that I loved. Exercise and nutrition was such a huge part of my lifestyle before being a mom, and I didn’t want to lose that part of myself.

And so I got to work. I poured into myself in a variety of ways.

1. I scheduled dedicated movement blocks. I no longer squeezed my work out in when/if Gray napped, but instead got up earlier or had Scott watch Gray for the duration of my workout)

2. I dove into personal development. I read books or listened to podcast about other women who were ahead of the game or had been where I was.

3. I ate meals that I enjoyed & helped me to feel good. I prepping my meals ahead of time & filled my fridge with all my favorite seasonal produce.

4. I voiced my goals to my husband & friends. I didn’t need their permission, but I did want them to know that this was for ME. Some women like to get their hair done, others like to go shopping. Me? I like to train for something, have a clear goal/ focus and gosh so I love routine.

When I feel good, I am a better human, wife, friend, mom.

So, here I am showing up again ready for round 2. I feel like I’m ready again to level up in all aspects of my life. I wanted to share with you that I’m starting the process again and invite you to come along with me. I will be sharing my journey through IGTV (just like I did throughout my competition prep on Youtube). So watch, support or even better- join me!

Let 2022 be the year you said YES to YOURSELF.
